Projects for the resort and Lake:
The resort has submitted plans to the Forest Service and received approval for a Lodge remodel. We are currently working with our project team to finalize this years work on th elodge and our plans for next fall. Please stop by the Resort to see the updated plans when we reopen in May. Updated April 15th. The Lodge received some necessary structural upgrades this winter & spring. We are working hard to get ready for another great summer at the lake.
Look for a new stage in front of the Lodge this summer and other resort improvments all designed to improve your experience here.
The upgraded facilities will allow us to improve our operation and meet our #1 goal of providing an excellent family vacation
experience for all our visitors.
The Resort continues to work closely with the Forest Service and The Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife to provide expanded fishing opportunites here at the lake. Free Free Fishing Weekend and our own Annual Youth Angling Event help promote sportsmanship and family values. It is our goal to provide environmental stewardship here at the lake and we strive to improve facilities to enhance the public's recreation experience.
Lake of the Woods needs fish cleaning and boat wash down stations at each boat ramp and improvements to allow ADA compliant handicapped fishing access from shore. For years there has been discusion of both and we want to see these ideas become a reality. For updates and questions on these projects reply to George Gregory at the Resort george@lakeofthewoodsresort.com and our District Ranger for the Klamath District of the Freemont Winema National Forest Margaret Bailey at mbailey01@fs.fed.us .
Thank you and I look forward to seeing you all this season.
