FAQ/Gallery

Do we need an Oregon boater’s license in order to rent a pontoon boat?

Our marina staff will provide all rental boat operators with a temporary boater’s license upon your arrival to claim your rental boat.

What if we already have a boater’s license?

Then you will not need the temporary boating license. You are free to use your own as long as it is a valid boater’s license.

Can we reserve a pedal boat, kayak, or canoe?

The only boats you can reserve are our pontoon boats, smoker craft, and kingfisher. All basic motorboats, pedal boats, canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards are first come-first serve. Make sure you come early on the weekends.

Is there a speed limit on the lake?

There is no speed limit during the daylight; however, there is a 5 mph no-wake zone within 100 yds of the lake’s shoreline. Just remember the lake is for everyone, so keep in mind your safety as well as the safety of others. At nightfall, there is a speed limit of 20 mph for all watercraft.

Do we need to bring our own life jackets when we rent a boat?

Life jackets will be provided by our marina staff. They will make sure each person on the boat will have a life jacket at their disposal.

Do we have to wear the life jackets?

Children ages 12 and under must wear a life jacket AT ALL TIMES while the boat is in motion. Older individuals do not need to take such precaution.

Can we beach the boat and take a break?

Under no circumstances are you allowed to beach any one of our motorized boats. You are allowed to dock it on our day-use dock as well as at the docks of Sunset and Aspen Point Campgrounds.

Can we tow anything behind a rental boat?

Nothing can be towed behind any of our rental boats.
